winter, deer season, and near death

Ahh, winter is upon us..and all the "joy" that comes with it. The hunting seasons, the weather, the holidays, I love most of it. Deer season is almost a national holiday around here, It's a wonderful excuse to get outside, which i love to do. Unfortunately for me the quality of people that choose to celebrate this wonderfull week with me is gradually declining, people just looking for an excuse to hold a gun. To say the least bullets whizzing over my head does not constitute a good time....It saddens me to see such poor behavior in outdoors men. Then Thanksgiving, A time of much cooking, more house work and family gathering with all the gossip and groaning that goes with that. I can't wait for that to be over. The best part of thanksgiving is the music, all of my family plays instruments, so when we gather its almost like a concert. Love it. and then christmas..... Where to begin, the over commercialization?, The constant fear of offending someone by saying CHRISTmas? they want you to say happy holidays so as not to offend non-christians, what a load of bull, non-christians dont give a rats behind as to what we think, why are we so worried about offending them? Then the guilt of getting presents when you can't afford to buy any for your friends. I am not sure I like Christmas. Not sure at all. Ok, that is my yearly rant on winter, besides all of that i friggin love the season, the cold air..the trees changing color, the snow..its a beautiful time of year with lots of family gathering and good food. too bad we need a holiday as an excuse to get together though....

remember....A good mechanic will let you watch without charging you for it...

Random Thoughts

sleep work sleep, thats all i've been doing lately, now i kinda miss being unemployed..lol oh well, thats the way life goes i guess. im just ready to get some money set back so as to start building cars and bikes again. I really miss twisting wrenches. my friend at work says i need to start a bike shop here in town as there isnt one. I may someday, but for now its pay bills and sleep. =( so sad.. and to make matters worse, I sleep during the day when everyone else is awake..no one to go shoot pool with or bowl, its awefull. but such is life, feel like no one really cares anyways, or reads this stupid blog, but yet i write in it... anyways later days people.

job

well it looks like my two month long stretch of being unemployed has come to an end, unless something horrible happens. So now i sit back and ponder what i have learned from this experience. From the ups-and downs. The worrying about where the gas money was going to come from, and I feel that I have walked away from this a bit wiser, maybe not smarter, but wiser sure. Its a lame job, but I'm glad to get it none the less. The lessons we learn in everyday life are essential to our growth and maturity into fine adults. So perhaps the things we worry about, we should just sit back and learn from? later people.

remember: If you wait, all that happens is that you grow older.

Go for it!

the great outdoors

today me and my grandfather went for a walk through the woods to a wonderful spot in an old creek bed. I saw a few deer, and the squirrels were hiding from the wind. its was pretty windy. Things like that make me kinda feel sorry for the people who never really get to experience that kind of stuff first hand. I understand how people in the cities have lost their way, and turned toward artificial means of life can be so downtrodden and anti-religion. How can they understand what they have themselves never experienced?
Its a beautiful world out there. go out and enjoy it. Anyways, I'm going to go for a long motorcycle ride and squeeze all i can outta the good weather before old man winter smiles on me. XD later.

remember, never race an old fart. he may have one more gear than you. =)
